| "I started my career at Super RTL as a trainee in the Sales & Business Relations department in August 2004. This department has a central position within the company as it manages relations with Super RTL’s key accounts and is responsible for the capitalisation of the main platforms (e.g. TV, Internet free sites, etc.). Luckily my traineeship demanded much more from me than just making photocopies or preparing conference rooms! I was integrated into the department’s daily business and had to prepare client meetings and Board reports, which gave me an insight into everything a media company is involved in. Being the leading children’s entertainment company in Germany, Super RTL is much more than just a TV channel. Indeed, Toggo, our kids’ entertainment brand is absolutely everywhere: on TV, on the Web, at events, in print and in merchandising.
When my traineeship ended, Super RTL gave me the opportunity of starting as a Junior Manager, responsible for overseeing internal processes that were relevant for our advertising customers, such as cross-media sweepstakes to support product launches. Within a year I was promoted to Manager and immediately got to deal directly with advertising customers.
Today, as Senior Manager, I develop cross-media marketing solutions and concepts for customers of the advertising industry. My daily activities bring me together with our Internet, Merchandising and, in-house production, departments, among others. My position also means I’m in very close personal contact with IP Deutschland and with all of Super RTL’s key accounts. It’s a very interesting and versatile job that’s enabling me to form a bigger picture of what the media business is all about." |
